Peacock

For this project I used technology. I did this by looking up different peacock feathers to decide what colors would be best to use in blending the colored pencils. Once I got an idea of the colors I tested the blending on a different paper from my sketchbook so I could get them close to how they are in person since there's different shades of green and blue. I also practiced drawing and coloring the feathers to see how I wanted them to turn out. I guess tthis drawing says something about how I am because I love peacocks. They have so many pretty colors all over them and their feathers make a beautiful pattern. That's the main reason I chose to draw the peacock because I knew that it'd turn out well since the feathers would involved different shades of greens and blues and the colored pencils I used are meant for blending. Another thing, I chose to use colored pencils instead of chalk or oil pastels because I thought it'd be less messy and I wanted the feathers to look more neat since that's how they look in person.
